Solo -“the neighborhood dog”

Loving the great Canadian outdoors!

Loving life and the great Canadian outdoors! Solo up at Jumbo Glacier summer of 2006.

We discovered this website about a week ago when we were told the devastating news that our Golden Retriever, Solo has cancer. We debated on starting a blog (I have never blogged before!) but decided that maybe in some way, Solo’s story may help someone else in their journey with canine amputation.

Solo is a 7 year old, beautiful, energetic and sweet Golden that is a huge part of our lives. She is often referred to as “the neighborhood dog” because many of the kids and adults know her so well. She has lots of the kids stop by to play with her and they always want to see her when she is walking down the street. She will greet them with a paw in their hand and rests her head on their knee, just waiting to be rubbed and loved. This blog is part of the journey we are on together.
